Replacement parts

Quite often there are parts of devices that are custom made or no longer being manufactured which leads to a problem when replacement part is needed. So I recreate and print them to be used for their initial purpose. As one of examples - film camera saved by 3D printed parts. Here is the situation - an old film camera with a broken leaver. As we know these days film cameras are not common and they are not in mass production anymore. But film cameras still are used and have their value among enthusiasts. The problem is - for such an old camera (Canon EOS Elan IIE - 1995) there are no service and no available replacement parts. So I took out the broken part, measured dimensions, created a repaired 3D model and printed it. In the end it is perfectly working and usable film camera. Same goes for other devices.
